Emotional intelligence. Wouldn't you rather work with people who posess it?

We get along well with people, especially our clients. We also get along very well with our network of partners and subcontractors, whether they are architects, interior designers, tile artisans, woodworkers, antique specialists, stained glass artists or specialty carpenters. With each remodel, addition, or restoration, we ask ourselves who is best suited for the work, not only in terms of skill level and budget, but also personality. Then we assemble the dream team.

As an example, we’ll contrast two recent projects. One was a substantial addition with a homeowner whose primary need and focus was to get the job done as quickly as possible. Marsh-Vorspan finished the job ahead of schedule. The other project was with an Austin homeowner who truly enjoyed the creative process, and wanted to take her time deciding on every detail. She would ask us to put trim up on the ceiling so that she could see what it looked like. In this case, we were happy to take the time. These two clients had different needs, but in the end, both had the same experience of being delighted with their home renovations.
